I did a quick search and there’s no published video from my performance…along with a few other performers who were in the competition. That’s probably for the best; I went to use a mic and then wasn’t allowed<\/em> to use a vocal mic as part of performing my entry…ok, like that wasn’t stressful enough (I was sweating to sing loud enough to fill that hall while playing bass).

After I did my performance, another contestant saw what happened to me…he went up to the stage and GRABBED a vocal mic and stand before someone could stop him, and sat down to do his performance with<\/em> a vocal mic (good on you sir).

It was explained to me (after someone apologized about how unfair in appearance that it was someone else got to use a mic and I didn’t)…that it was a Thump off<\/em>, not a vocal and bass competition. Ah. Well. That made it completely better. I’ll make sure to beatbox with my vocals next time then….*sigh*

Anyway, it was still a great idea and a fun event. Enjoy some video from my fellow competitors. Contestant names are in the video titles.
