I first met Kirby at the Solo Bass Competition at Winter NAMM 2020, where she competed against an impressive international lineup of performers to become the second-place winner of the event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She has been the recipient of the bass player of the year award with the BC Country Music Association multiple times and was a CCMA (Canadian Country Music Awards) Bass player of the Year nominee for the past three years. She has won songwriting awards from the GMA (Gospel Music Association) and has received a Juno nomination as a member of the bluegrass band The High Bar Gang.
