{"id":796,"date":"2017-10-24T03:16:07","date_gmt":"2017-10-24T03:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.ladybassmusic.net\/?p=796"},"modified":"2021-06-06T22:31:42","modified_gmt":"2021-06-06T22:31:42","slug":"intergalactic-ashula-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.ladybassmusic.net\/?p=796","title":{"rendered":"Intergalactic Ashula &#8211; part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\nAnd, we\u2019re back for part two in the evolution of the Intergalactic Ashula.<br><br>\n\nBrief recap of <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.ladybassmusic.net\/?p=781\">part 1<\/a>; Maiven McKnight, the Aerosol Queen, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Lw3N_S92Wa0\">Ashula<\/a> drew quite a crowd during <a href=\"http:\/\/artattackproject.com\/\">Fredericksburg&#8217;s Art Attack<\/a>. You can see Maiven painting the back of the bass <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/XVBuuY1jtCQ\">here<\/a>. I got the bass home and it was apparent after a few days that I was going to ask her to paint the front to match. The bass just felt incomplete.<br><br>\n\n\n<p><div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ashula\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wt5jvt7_2lY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><br><br>\n\nI contacted Maiven via Messenger and set up an appointment to meet. By no fault of hers&#8230;.it was like waiting for Christmas to arrive.<br><br>\n\nThe morning of her appointment came. She set up in front of my house and got to work. Again&#8230;more &#8220;night before Christmas syndrome&#8221; hitting me. I had two sets of GHS Infinity strings from Jonathan Moody to try out (thank you Jon!). They had just arrived and they were perfect for this application. Red strings weaving through the interstellar theme.
